Lurleen B Wallace sees a drop in enrollment numbers
Fewer students are attending Lurleen B Wallace Community College this spring semester when compared to the headcount from last year.
According to reports, LBW Community College currently has 1,541 students and 13,997 credit hours, which is a 1.09 percent decrease in headcount from spring 2020. According to data collected by The National Student Clearinghouse Research Center, college enrollment for all types of higher education institutions saw a 2.9 percent decrease when compared to enrollment data from last spring. Undergraduate enrollment saw a 4.5 percent decline across all institution types saw when compared to enrollment data from last spring as well.

Summer and Fall enrollment will open on April 12 for students with 30+ credit hours. All current students can begin registering for Summer and Fall terms on April 19.
Along with the tuition freeze announced by the ACCS, LBW Community College is offering a Buy One, Get One Summer Incentive. The LBWCC Foundation established the grant to assist students during the summer 2021 semester. The grant provides students the chance to take one three-credit-hour class and get a three-credit-hour class paid for by the Foundation. The deadline to apply is April 30.
