Greenville Police Officer involved in crash
While responding to an emergency call Saturday night, a Greenville Police officer was involved in a two-vehicle crash.
According to Greenville Police Chief Justin Lovvorn, the officer was crossing the intersection of Fort Dale Road and Manningham Road when another driver entered the intersection and hit the officer’s vehicle. The crash resulted in the officer’s vehicle hitting a nearby light pole.
The officer was taken to Regional Medical Center of Central Alabama where he was treated for a head injury and released in good condition. The occupants of the other vehicle were treated for minor injuries at the scene of the crash.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is currently investigating the cause of the wreck.
